Components of manul molding silicon rubber
Manul molding silicon rubber is a kind of flowing liquid and it contains two parts. Part A is a kind of white flowing liquid and part B is the curing agent. Remember to mix part A and part B evenly, otherwise the silicon rubber will be partly solidified and this will give birth to difficulties in your final operation. What¡¯s more, the finished moulds will meet a short life. All of these will cause a waste of silicon rubber.

Usually, we don¡¯t advise customer to add silicone oil to the silicone to according to the shore A. If necessary, we would suggest the silicone oil added bewteen 5%~10%.

1. What should we do when the air bubbles appeared in the process of mold making ?

To handle this situation depends on different cases. Under the condition of an available vacuum pumping machine, mix the silicone rubber and curing agent evenly and then take it to vacuum chamber to deair. If without a vacuum pumping machine, reduce the amount of the curing agent properly. For example, change the mixing ratio of the silicone rubber and the curing agent from former 4% to 1%-2%. In this way, the pre-crosslinking time of silicone rubber will slow down, so, the air in the mold will be eliminated gradually to reduce the air bubbles.
